These release notes describe the changes, fixes, known issues, and release details that apply to FC HBA driver for Solaris, version 5.02.

2. Changes

The following changes have been made to the FC HBA driver between versions 5.01 and 5.02.

  • Added support for retrieving firmware dump on mailbox command timeouts.
  • Added support for greater than 255 boot target number.
  • Added IIDMA port settings.
  • Added dynamic LUN addition without I/O interruption.
  • Enabled dynamic target addition without I/O interruption.
  • Enabled processing RSCN without I/O interruption of other targets.
  • Enabled support for driver parameter entry changes with minimal I/O disruption.
  • Added support for multi-BIOS flash images.
  • Added force ATTACH property to insure that all instances are brought online during startup.

3. Bug Fixes

The following fixes have been made to the the FC HBA driver between versions 5.01 and 5.02.

  • Corrected potential stall on mailbox command timeouts.
  • Corrected overlapped command errors on 4Gb HBAs.
  • Fixed delay with the ending of commands after loop down.
  • Corrected target online race condition with OS.
  • Corrected Solaris 8 user initiated system errors.
  • Corrected driver failover upon seeing RSCN.
  • Correction of FDMI serial number and node name.
